Newly Refurbished Laundry Room Reopens Friday, March 30

The new digital laundry system is resident-friendly. It is very easy to use, with no extra laundry card required. The new system offers payment flexibility. Residents will have the option of using credit or debit cards or coins.

The new system offers automatic problem reporting, and is linked directly to the service technician for convenience. The system can also send a text alert when a cycle is finished.

Mac-Gray will host a training seminar in the laundry room on Thursday, March 28 at 7:00pm, and again on Tuesday April 3 at 7:00pm.

On April 3 also, Mac-Gray will host an open house with refreshments. They will be on hand to answer questions about the new system.

Fitness Room Closed Weds. March 21

Due to a NYC code that requires us to install a sprinkler system in the renovated laundry room the fitness room will be closed on Wednesday March 21st.

The contractor will be installing water piping that will include welding, so no one will be allowed in the room at that time. They anticipate the work will take up to six hours but unfortunately I cannot tell you exactly when they will begin.

You may be able to use the room in the early morning, but when the contactors begin please vacate immediately.

New Relief Employee

Please be advised that a new relief employee, Francisco Santana will be on the door Friday and Saturday mornings from 8am to 5pm to fill-in for VJ. Francisco will be called in to work the door as needed when employees are ill or on vacation.

New Laundry Room

As you are probably aware; a new laundry company will renovate the laundry room and install all new equipment. The laundry room will go out of service on Monday, March 19, 2012, to begin the renovation work.

The grand reopening date is to be determined pending completion of the work. You will be notified of the exact date.

There will be on-site instruction seminars for residents and their domestic help conducted by the vendor’s employee to explain how to properly use the new equipment.

During this down time we will not be able to accommodate you with temporary equipment. It will be necessary for you to make other arrangements. I thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.
