Fitness Center 875 West End Avenue New York, New York 10025
- Membership is available exclusively to residents of 875 West End Avenue who have paid their yearly membership fee, and who have submitted to the Managing Agent a fully executed Waiver and Release Agreement. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL ANY PERSON USE THE FITNESS CENTER PRIOR TO EXECUTION OF THE WAIVER AND RELEASE AGREEMENT.
- Use of the Fitness Center and its equipment are at the sole risk of the user. The Fitness Center and equipment will not be supervised and each user must inspect the room and the equipment before use to insure that it is in proper condition.
- No person under the age of 16 shall be admitted at any time.
- No guests of members are entitled to use the Fitness Center at any time.
- No employees of members are entitled to use the Fitness Center at any time.
- Personal trainers hired by members are permitted only after giving prior notice to the Managing Agent and providing proof of insurance. Personal trainers shall also be required to execute the Waiver and Release Agreement prior to gaining admission to the Fitness Center. Members must accompany personal trainers within the building at all times, and personal trainers shall not use the fitness center for their own personal use.
- The Fitness Center shall be open from 5:30 am until 1:00 am daily. Sign in/ sign out is required.
- The Fitness Center shall be locked at all times. Keys to the Fitness Center are for the exclusive use of its members and shall not be duplicated or loaned to other persons. Persons found violating this rule shall have their membership cancelled and shall not be entitled to the refund of any part of their initiation or membership fee.
- The use of cell phones or any type of radio or CD player, except for a personal radio or CD player that plays exclusively through head phones, is prohibited.
- The Fitness Center has its own sound mute television sets that require the use of radios with headphones. The choice of program shall be by consensus.
- No food, chewing gum, or alcoholic beverages are permitted in the Fitness Center. All other beverages, including water, must be in unbreakable, closed containers.
- Pets are not permitted in the Fitness Center.
- Smoking is not permitted in the Fitness Center.
- Members are expected to clean up after themselves, including wiping down equipment after use, and removing water bottles and other refuse in the Fitness Center after leaving.
- Each member is responsible for returning the equipment to its proper location.
- Members are solely responsible for their personal belongings. No personal belongings can be left overnight, and no equipment can be removed from the Fitness Center.
- Use of aerobic equipment shall be limited to thirty minutes when other members are waiting for that piece of equipment.
- Appropriate dress is required: Men – shirt, shorts, sweats or warm-ups, and sneakers/exercise shoes. Women – leotards or shirt, tights, shorts, sweats or warm-ups, and sneakers/exercise shoes.
- All malfunctions or other problems should be brought to the attention of the Fitness Center Committee.
- The annual membership fee shall be $125 per apartment, which shall entitle one permanent resident of that apartment over age 16 to use of the Fitness Center, subject to these rules and the terms of the Waiver and Release Agreement. Other residents of the apartment may use the fitness center for an additional fee of $75 per person, per year. New members shall also pay a one-time initiation/capital contribution fee of $300 (the “initiation fee”). Members who allow their annual membership to lapse and/or fail to renew their membership will be treated as new members required to pay the initiation fee in the event that they seek to recommence their membership at a later date.
- Membership in the Fitness Center cannot be transferred to new shareholders/ building residents. New residents/shareholders who seek to join the Fitness Center shall be deemed new members subject to payment of the initiation fee.
